Seryn Vael

Seryn Vael was born in 313 KM in Elyndra and lived through the Crystal Scream of 327 KM as a youth. Where the catastrophe broke most survivors, Vael listened to it.

Vael is remembered as one of the first Sound masters: the first to control frequencies consciously rather than merely endure them, and to bind that control into cards. Sound work''s discipline of resonance — matching a vibration before shaping it — begins with Vael.

Vael lived in the same era as Mireth Sol, and the two are often mentioned together: one who mastered the crystal song, and one who was mastered by it and survived anyway.
