The Echo-Bound descend from the survivors of the Crystal Scream of 327 KM. Living generations among singing crystals reshaped them: their hearing outgrew their sight, and their culture grew around the voice.
To the Echo-Bound the word is sacred. Lying is a grave fault — sound carries intent, and a false note is audible to those who know how to listen. Silence is valued as much as speech, and children are taught to listen before they are taught to talk.
