Crystal Scream

Elyndra''s crystals had always sung. In 327 KM the song changed: the first note was beautiful enough to bring people out of their houses weeping, and the notes after it shattered glass, bone, and mind.

Crystals burst from the ground through walls, roads, and wells. Whole villages died hearing. Among the survivors were Seryn Vael, who would learn to command frequency, and the child Mireth Sol, who lost her sight and gained the hearing that would define her long, solitary guardianship.

Sound was born from the Scream — the element of those who lived to keep listening.
