The Seep is a reality-corroding substance that infects certain plants after a Void Gate has opened. It appears as a fine, ash-like violet dust on leaves; it does not wash off, does not mix into soil, and reappears when wiped away — as if remembering to exist a moment late.

Combined with plant matter, the Seep becomes a powerful hallucinogenic stimulant that loosens the mind''s grip on reality. Under its influence, a person can see their own loved ones as Void creatures.

The first person known to notice it was the herbalist Rovan Vyr — and its most terrible recorded consequence belongs to his family. Its wider effects remain unknown, which no one considers good news.
