Cybers

The Cybers were born from the Parallel Shard event of 341 KM, when a fragment of a parallel reality fell on Virex and changed everyone it touched. The mark passed to their children: sharper pattern-sense, altered perception, and an uncanny talent for reading seals.

Cyber culture prizes information and analysis. Events are approached as systems with rules to be found; feelings are data too, just noisier. Other lineages sometimes find them cold and calculating — the Cybers consider this an observation, not an insult.

Solving the mystery of the Parallel Shard has become a cultural obsession. No Cyber generation has managed it yet. No Cyber generation has stopped trying.
