Ancient Card Age
The age when card production matured and the elementless Ancient Cards spread through the world (0–214 KM).
The Ancient Card Age runs from the first card in 0 KM to the founding of the Card Masters Council in 214 KM. Across it, card production grew from workshop curiosity into the backbone of daily life.
The Ancient Cards of this age carried no element — pure seal work for defense, travel, construction, healing, sealing, and security. Towns built card markets; trades built card crafts; households built small decks of practical seals.
The age''s success created its own problem: as production spread, so did dangerous experimentation. The answer to that problem gives the next age its name.
