Marek Oris

Marek Oris was born in 304 KM, younger brother of Draven Oris. The Ember Rift of 318 KM left him untouched, as it left his brother — two boys standing whole in a dying town.

Marek''s place in the record rests on one sentence. Watching the fire take everything, he said: "The apocalypse was not so bad after all." He was fourteen. He may have meant nothing by it. His brother heard everything in it, and built a life on it.

Where Draven turned survival into commerce, Marek took the more direct path — treating what the fire spared as a destiny rather than an asset. Beyond that, little is recorded of him.
