Soul Realm

The dead pass on to the soul realm — a place of continuation, not a power that intervenes in the world.

Those who die normally leave the world and pass to the soul realm, where existence continues after death. The realm is not a force that steers the living world; it does not intervene directly or continuously in events.

The Soulbound can form limited connections with the beings of the soul realm. The bond is not a weapon — it is memory, guidance, remembrance, and protection.

The great exception is the Soul Valley War: its dead could not pass on for years and remained bound to the world. That was extraordinary, not the rule — and its ending gave the world both the peace of Veran and the Soul element itself.
