Soul Valley War
The twelve-year war in Veran whose dead could not pass on — and whose peace was guided by the dead themselves (370–382 KM).
From 370 to 382 KM, two great hosts fought over the valleys of Veran. The war''s cruelty was ordinary; its consequence was not. So many died that the spirits of the fallen could not pass to the soul realm — for years, the dead remained bound to the world that killed them.
Peace came through them. Vaera Nox, said to be among the first able to connect with the lingering dead, carried their single demand between the camps: an ending. In 382 KM, the living listened.
The Soul element and the Soulbound lineage rose from that peace. Veran''s memory stones name the dead of both sides, and its people count the peace — not any victory — as the war''s only honor.
