Veran

Veran is quiet in a way other regions are not. Between 370 and 382 KM two great hosts fought the Soul Valley War here, and so many died that the spirits of the fallen could not pass on. For years the dead remained bound to the valleys — an exception to the order of the world, and one that ended the war itself.

Peace was declared under the guidance of the dead. The Soulbound rose from that peace, and their values shape the region: memory stones, silent banners, tended battlefields, and the belief that forgetting is disrespect.

Travelers report brief echoes of past scenes in the mists. The Soulbound do not call these hauntings. They call them reminders.
