The Soulbound rose from the end of the Soul Valley War (370–382 KM), when the lingering dead themselves guided the living to peace. That debt defines them.
Memory is sacred. Keeping the names of the dead alive is a duty, old battlefields are honored ground, and forgetting is treated as disrespect bordering on harm. Their bond with the soul realm is real but limited — guidance, remembrance, and protection rather than a weapon.
Among the Soulbound, peace is valued above victory. They ended the bloodiest war in history without winning it, and they consider that their proudest fact.
