Void Exile Scandal
In 638 KM a lynch mob cast a falsely accused child into the Void — the scandal that changed the law forever.
In 638 KM, in the village of the Vyr family, the old order broke. Kaelen Vyr — sixteen years old, already infamous as the son of Rovan Vyr, already hated for his violence — was falsely accused of a school fire that killed two children. There was no trial. The gate opened that evening, and the village lynch mob threw him through.
Three days later, one of the children who had actually started the fire confessed. Then the other. The village fell silent in a way it never fully recovered from.
The scandal produced the absolute ban on exiling children to the Void, carved into the stone council record. Kaelen Vyr was the first child cast into the Void — and, by that carving, the last.
