The world consists of one great continent. Beyond its coasts lie wide seas, island chains, distant harbor roads, and shipping lanes that only the Asterion Pact keeps halfway safe.
Settlements follow a few recognizable patterns: towns, cities, harbor cities, lineage settlements built around a single element culture, mixed crossroad settlements, forbidden zones, and ancient ruins left over from the ages before the first card.
Seven of the continent''s regions carry the scars of the Seven Catastrophes, and each scar gave birth to an element. The eighth wound — the Null Expanse — leads somewhere that is not part of the world at all.
