The survivors adapted in the only direction available: they learned to read the storm''s force by instinct. From them came the Stormblood and the Storm element — power as motion, speed, and unerring direction.

Thalen Rusk, born into the aftermath, would prove Storm could carry as well as strike, and Auralis became the moving heart of the continent''s travel routes.
