Raw Magic Age

The Raw Magic Age is the first era of recorded history, running from roughly -1200 to -710 KM. In it, people tried to control raw magic directly, and raw magic behaved like a natural disaster wearing the shape of a gift.

Many who reached for power died reaching. Others lost their minds, or destroyed the homes and people they meant to protect. The age''s lesson was carved slowly and expensively: raw power cannot be wrestled, only guided.

The age ends with the discovery that would redeem it — the first seals.
