Dark Fantasy Worldbuilding Through Regions, Lineages, and Factions

A practical look at how geography, ancestry, and political groups shape the Mentack universe.

Strong fantasy worlds are not built from names alone. They are built from relationships. A region changes how people survive. A lineage changes what power feels natural. A faction changes what the world rewards, punishes, hides, or remembers.

In Mentack, regions are more than maps. They define danger, element density, political tension, and the kinds of stories that can happen there. Lineages give those places living memory. Factions add intent, turning geography and ancestry into conflict.

This structure keeps the archive useful for players and readers. Someone can enter through a region, discover the dominant lineage, follow its faction ties, and end up at a character or card that expresses the same world logic at a personal scale.
